This role plays a key part on project teams from early concept and FEED through construction and commissioning, serving as the control systems discipline lead and coordinating internal and external resources.What You’ll Be Doing:Lead the design of industrial facility control system architectures, hardware, and softwareDesign, program, and commission PLC, HMI, DCS, and historian-based control systemsServe as the controls discipline lead, managing scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectivesDevelop control system documentation including specifications, drawings, datasheets, test documents, and reportsPerform detailed design of control panels, networks, software, and field wiringSupport FEED studies, cost estimates, and EPC execution phasesCoordinate with project managers, engineers, designers, contractors, and clientsReview and solicit bids for control system equipment and servicesParticipate in and lead project meetings, providing progress updates and technical presentationsSupport site startup activities including loop checks, troubleshooting, network testing, and system acceptance testingWhat We’re Looking For:BS in Engineering required; MS preferredPE license preferred; PMP certification is a plus6+ years of related control systems engineering experienceStrong understanding of PFDs and P&IDsExpert-level PLC programming skills (Ladder Logic, Function Block, Structured Text)Extensive experience with Rockwell Automation tools (Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View, Historian)Working knowledge of Schneider, Siemens, Wonderware, or equivalent platforms is a plusExperience with industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, Modbus RTU/TCP, Profibus, Profinet)Hands-on experience with VFD setup, programming, and troubleshooting (PowerFlex preferred)Solid understanding of closed-loop control systems, signal analysis, and digital filteringExperience within CAE platforms preferredStrong organizational, communication, and multitasking skillsWillingness to travel and support on-site startup activities as neededThis is a great opportunity for a senior-level controls engineer who enjoys leading technically challenging projects and seeing systems through from concept to commissioning.
