With 2+ years of hands‑on Workday HCM experience, specializing in Workday Payroll, you will play a critical role in delivering high‑quality implementations, optimizations, and support for our clients. This position requires solid functional expertise in Workday Payroll, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with client stakeholders and cross‑functional teams. You will translate complex payroll and compliance requirements into scalable, best‑practice Workday configurations and participate in full‑cycle project delivery from discovery and design through configuration, testing, and deployment.
Responsibilities
- Configure and implement Workday Payroll solutions, ensuring compliance with tax, labor, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, analyze needs, and design payroll processes that align with best practices.
- Support payroll‑related integrations, including connections with time tracking, benefits, and accounting systems.
- Execute configuration for core payroll elements such as earnings, deductions, taxes, retroactivity, and off‑cycle processing.
- Conduct and support payroll testing, including unit, parallel, and end‑to‑end testing.
- Troubleshoot payroll issues and provide guidance on resolution.
- Collaborate with other functional areas to ensure seamless end‑to‑end payroll operations.
- Assist with documentation, training, and knowledge transfer to client teams.
- Stay informed on Workday Payroll releases and new functionality to enhance client solutions.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands‑on Workday HCM experience, with a strong focus on Payroll.
- Demonstrated experience in configuring, testing, and deploying Workday Payroll solutions.
- Workday Payroll Certification Preferred.
- Knowledge of payroll compliance, tax processing, garnishments, retroactivity, and off‑cycle payroll processing.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in payroll configuration and testing.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on project teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
