- Identify cost and quality opportunities across mid-level complex pharmacy procurement categories
- Support Pharmacy Managers and develop medication sourcing strategies for OhioHealth Pharmacy operations system-wide
- Collaborate with pharmacy stakeholders to understand requirements
- Support operationalization of supplier agreements with Category Management
- Provide strategic decision support and recommendations to optimize contract compliance and medication spend
- Maintain supply chain integrity and evaluate workflows for regulatory, safety, recall and product chain-of-custody risks
- Support category strategies and opportunity assessments
- Recommend sourcing plans using contracting, competitive bidding, value analysis and financial analysis
- Aggregate and analyze enterprise usage and service usage patterns to identify waste and cost savings
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal clients to improve integrated processes
- Coordinate committee activities and cross-functional standardization initiatives
- Benchmark and implement supply chain best practices
- Provide category and contracting status reports
- Build relationships with internal customers, supply chain colleagues, process partners and suppliers
- Implement assigned sourcing and supplier performance strategies and deliver value creation
- Assist with specifications, statements of work, performance terms and acceptance criteria
- Lead stakeholders through data-driven sourcing initiatives, market and competitive analysis, leverage creation and negotiations
- Advocate and enforce competitive bidding and supplier competition policies
- Optimize service specifications and influence adherence to policies and spend optimization practices
- Manage vendor and item data accuracy and system builds
- Complete project trackers, savings quantification and status updates
- Guide match exception resolution
- Ensure contracts are up to date
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field such as business administration, finance, operations research, materials management, supply chain management, economics or related discipline (Required)
- 3–6 years of progressive RF(x), sourcing, negotiating and contracting experience
- Extensive experience developing and executing strategic sourcing plans
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks within agreed-upon timeframes in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated; able to work independently and collaboratively
- Moderate to advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, data analysis, business case development and ERP systems
- Certified Pharmacy Technician License – Ohio Board of Pharmacy
