A growing advisory firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Financial Advisory Services team. This role partners with entrepreneurial businesses and privately held organizations to deliver strategic finance, accounting, and business advisory solutions. The position offers exposure to a broad range of client engagements while providing opportunities to develop leadership skills, mentor junior professionals, and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.

Location
Hybrid schedule requiring approximately four days per week in one of the firm's Mid-Atlantic office locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial advisory engagements for privately held businesses across a variety of industries.
- Develop financial forecasts, budgets, KPIs, management reporting packages, and executive dashboards.
- Perform financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including budgeting, variance analysis, and decision support.
- Build financial models, including cash flow forecasting and profitability analysis.
- Support month-end close, financial reporting, and outsourced accounting engagements.
- Research and resolve technical accounting matters.
- Evaluate accounting processes and internal controls and recommend operational improvements.
- Assist clients with accounting transitions, audit readiness, and reporting enhancements.
- Provide guidance related to ownership transitions and other strategic business initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with business owners and executive management teams.
- Lead engagement teams while mentoring and developing junior staff.
- Contribute to internal initiatives including recruiting, professional development, and practice growth.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3+ years of accounting, finance, or advisory experience. Prefer from mid-sized firm.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- Experience working directly with clients or internal business partners.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid office environment approximately four days per week.
