Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Specialist to join our client onsite in New York. In this role, you will refactor the application code to utilize a dedicated instance of the PSI Database (PostgreSQL), enhancing application-level documentation and collaborating with the CTO to review and optimize the updated PSI DB integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Refactor application code to transition from a shared PSI DB instance to a dedicated PostgreSQL database, addressing challenges associated with shared environments.
• Enhance and create comprehensive application-level documentation.
• Review updated PSI DB integration and documentation with the CTO.
• Act as a senior developer with a trajectory toward architectural leadership.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with the INTEX platform , including structured finance analytics, deal modeling, cash flow analysis, and integration with enterprise applications.
• Ability to assess and redesign the current INTEX architecture , identifying opportunities to improve scalability, performance, maintainability, and operational efficiency.
• Experience designing and implementing INTEX integrations with upstream and downstream systems, including market data providers, security master data, databases, APIs, and analytics platforms.
• Lead architecture reviews of the INTEX ecosystem , documenting data flows, dependencies, integration patterns, and technical debt, while recommending a target‑state architecture aligned with business objectives.
• Optimize the INTEX implementation by improving automation, reducing manual processes, streamlining data ingestion, and enhancing platform reliability and performance.
• Strong understanding of structured finance data models (ABS, RMBS, CMBS, CLO, CDO, MBS) and how INTEX data supports pricing, analytics, reporting, and risk management.
• Experience with enterprise architecture and integration patterns, including API‑based integrations, ETL processes, messaging, and database synchronization in complex financial environments.
• Collaborate with business, architecture, and engineering teams to define the future‑state INTEX roadmap , ensuring knowledge transfer and driving modernization initiatives.

Nice to Have:

• Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

Compensation

In accordance with our compensation practices, ALTEN is providing the salary range associated with this opportunity. Final compensation will be determined after considering several factors, including professional experience, skill set, educational background, certifications, and geographic market conditions. The current target salary range for this role is $110,000 - $120,000 per year or $70-$80 per hour
