Are you ready to make your impact?What You'll DoWe provide outsourced accounting services to public and private companies, including REITs, mortgage finance companies, real estate private equity funds, developers, and operators. The senior consultant will interact directly with clients, including their management as well as supervisors.
The senior consultant will be responsible for developing and maintaining financial reporting support work papers, preparing and posting journal entries, and maintaining and updating the client's general ledgers and adjusted trial balances. The position requires that you be an assertive self-starter and a proactive problem solver. Responsiveness to client deadlines (for both financial statements and special projects) is essential. The candidate should possess strong accounting skills including knowledge of US GAAP and demonstrate the ability to grow their technical expertise.Perform month and/or quarter end close, including updates of monthly workbook and financial statement variance analysis, prepare and post journal entriesReview clients' books and records, prepare bank and other account reconciliations.Demonstrate the ability to determine the accuracy of accounts and propose/post adjusting journal entries and prepare supporting work papers and adjusted trial balance under US GAAP and income tax basisAssist in the preparation of financial statements, footnotes and necessary support as well as management reports, as applicable.
Including public client's Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, and quarterly earnings releasesAssist in preparation of Partner Capital Statements and noticesValidate financial information maintained by third party service providersAbility to perform basic US GAAP researchPotential exposure or assistance to ad hoc or special accounting projects such as implementation of accounting software, IPO projects, transaction or business process review, forensic investigations, and other financial reporting and asset management reporting assistanceDirect access to leadership with defined long-term planning will ensure continued success and career trajectory with direct development.
