Senior Construction Project Manager

The Role

Our client is recruiting a Senior Project Manager to manage large, complex concrete paving and civil projects – either Midwest data-center work or federal airfield construction. You'll plan, direct, and coordinate project activities, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure profitable operations across multiple sites.

This is a senior-level hire with genuine flexibility: strong candidates are placed on whichever track fits best.

Two Distinct Tracks

Civil/Data-Center Track

Concrete paving and civil work across Columbia, MO; Cheyenne, WY; and Temple, TX. Based in Lomira, WI (relocation assistance available); travel between active data-centre builds as phases and needs dictate. No federal background required.

Airfield/Federal Track

Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota (1–2 year duration) and Illinois. Willing to be based at or near the project for its duration. USACE or NAVFAC experience required (military or commercial airfield paving background acceptable).

Working Model

Rotation: Three weeks on-site, one week home. Hotel and one meal daily covered.

Travel: Throughout upper Midwest or between active data-center/airfield sites depending on track.

Flexibility: Placement finalized after interview based on fit and project need.

About You

Essential

• 5+ years construction management or field construction experience
• 2+ years concrete construction project management, including highway paving and/or airport construction
• Ability to read blueprints, structural drawings, and plan sets
• Proficiency with HCSS and P6 (project management and scheduling software)
• Three-weeks-on, one-week-off travel rotation comfort
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Strong planning ability and forward-thinking mindset

For Airfield/Federal Track (Required)

• USACE or NAVFAC (federal/Corps of Engineers or Navy) experience
• Familiarity with federal project processes, documentation, and requirements
• Military or commercial airfield paving background

For Civil/Data-Center Track (Preferred)

• DOT operational experience
• Highway paving and/or data-center construction background

Not Transferable

• Asphalt or commercial paving backgrounds don't transfer to this group
