Senior Construction Manager

Job Title: Senior Construction Manager
Location: Oakland, CA
Salary Rate: $175,000 - $200,000

We are seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead multiple energy retrofit construction projects. This role oversees project execution, subcontractor management, scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and client relationships while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide constructability and cost input during design.


• Manage bid processes, pre-bid walkthroughs, and subcontractor procurement.


• Administer subcontract agreements and oversee submittals.


• Coordinate and supervise subcontractor activities and construction meetings.


• Maintain project schedules, forecasts, and budget reporting.


• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.


• Lead project staff through mentorship and direction.


• Manage project documentation and construction management software.


• Serve as the primary liaison between clients, engineers, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).


• 4+ years of construction project experience, including field operations.


• Strong knowledge of construction processes and project management.


• Experience with commercial and institutional mechanical and electrical systems preferred.


• Ability to proactively manage schedule, cost, quality, and risk.


• Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and subcontractor management skills.


• Excellent communication, organization, and client-facing abilities.


• PMP certification is a plus.


• OSHA 30 certification required.


• Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
