Senior Companions Program Administrative AssistantThe J's AmeriCorps Seniors Senior Companion Program connects adults age 55+ with older adults who need companionship and support to remain independent at home.The Administrative Coordinator supports daily program operations, including volunteer recruitment and onboarding, client support, data entry, reporting, and general administrative duties. This position is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented self-starter who can manage multiple priorities and collaborate well with staff, volunteers, clients, caregivers, and community partners.Responsibilities:Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Program Director, including data entry, database and record maintenance, correspondence, meeting coordination, appointment scheduling, deadline tracking, and confidential document managementMaintain accurate and confidential volunteer, client, stipend, service-hour, and program recordsPrepare and distribute correspondence, outreach materials, newsletters, and program communicationsSupport compliance with HIPAA, AmeriCorps Seniors requirements, grant documentation standards, and The J's policiesAssist with volunteer recruitment, screening, onboarding, training, recognition, and retentionSupport volunteer and client intake training, matching, and annual evaluationsAssist with home monitoring client visits and program-related travel throughout Harris CountyQualifications:Five or more years of administrative, program coordination, or nonprofit experienceStrong organization, time-management, communication, and multitasking skillsStrong Microsoft Office skills, including advanced Excel and proficiency with Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePointAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionallyAbility to bend and lift 25 lbsValid driver's license, personal vehicle, current automobile liability insurance, and ability to travel independently throughout Harris CountyAssociate's or bachelor's degree in social services, community services, or nonprofit management preferredBenefits: Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, generous paid time off, sick leave, and paid holidays, a 403(b) retirement savings plan, complimentary J membership for full-time employees and eligible immediate household family members, federal mileage reimbursement for approved business travel, and professional development opportunities.
