For our client, we are seeking a Senior Commercial Counsel to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen responsible execution, improve decision-making, and support sustainable growth within a technology-driven environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $160,000 – $200,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Lead global customer negotiations for complex software and services transactions
- Partner with sales leadership to align business requirements and manage deal pipelines
- Maintain understanding of the company’s strategy and operations to provide effective legal counsel
- Support M&A integration and other commercial transactions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial and operational considerations
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school; admitted and in good standing with a U.S. state bar
- 15+ years of legal experience in business and transactional law within technology
- 10+ years managing and negotiating large complex software and SaaS transactions
- Expertise in commercial models relevant to software licensing and SaaS
- Solid understanding of global legal frameworks for B2B technology transactions
