Serving as a subject matter expert, the full-time Senior Coding Educator will provide education and training on medical record coding and patient charge issues to clinical providers and staff, while working remotely to design and implement coding-related curricula and conduct audits for compliance. Key responsibilities Design and implement educational curricula for coding-related processes and initiatives Conduct monthly audits and quality reviews to ensure compliance with clinical documentation and coding guidelines Review and approve educational materials and training calendars for new team members in Revenue Integrity and Health Information Management Required qualifications Bachelor's degree with six years of healthcare coding experience, including two years of auditing experience, or equivalent experience with an Associate's degree or High School Diploma/GED One of the following certifications: CCS, CPMA, CPC, COC, CCS-P, RHIT, RHIA, or CIC Expertise in ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems Experience with automated patient care and coding systems, preferably Cerner products Competence with MS Office software and experience conducting training via Zoom
