Responsibilities
- Programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts.
- Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate production.
- Working with a variety of materials including Inconel, titanium, monel, Stainless, and Copper.
- Implementing and monitoring process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Maintaining a high level of quality control, ensuring all parts meet strict quality standards.
- Collaborating with the engineering team to develop and improve machining processes.
- Providing technical guidance and support to junior team members.
- Ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Conducting regular maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery to prevent downtime.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest machining technologies and techniques.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Aerospace Alloy Machining.
- Proven experience working with materials such as Inconel, titanium, monel, and Aluminum.
- A strong understanding of CNC programming and operation using Fanuc controls.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- A proven track record in process improvement.
- Ability to hold tight tolerances (±.001" or better).
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- A degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred.
