As a key player in our cloud infrastructure initiatives, you will architect, implement, and optimize cloud solutions for large enterprise environments, including a cutting‑edge data and analytics platform for the Department of Veterans Affairs.
What You’ll Do
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure across multiple providers, with a primary focus on Azure technologies.
- Deliver data‑lake‑based integration and analysis services in support of business intelligence, data science, and machine learning efforts.
- Spearhead the implementation of infrastructure‑as‑code solutions using Terraform, pushing the boundaries of automation and efficiency.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost‑efficiency.
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues.
- Implement robust security measures to safeguard cloud‑based applications and data.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless deployment and operation of cloud applications.
- Lead architecture discussions with clients and team members, articulating complex solutions with clarity and confidence.

Requirements
- Expert‑level proficiency in Terraform and infrastructure‑as‑code concepts.
- Extensive knowledge of Azure technologies.
- Adherence to general cloud engineering best practices.

- Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain a public trust clearance. Must be eligible to work in the United States.

- Software engineering experience, especially in web application development.
- Strong background in cloud‑based networking, security, and data integration.
- Knowledge of serverless computing.
- Background in healthcare data management or experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
- Experience with large‑scale data analysis systems, such as Databricks, Hadoop, Pig, Scala, Spark or MPP databases.
- Experience working with Apache Parquet and/or Delta Lake formatted data.
- Experience supporting MLOps pipelines.
