RVN Inc. is recruiting for Senior Civil / Structural Designer - Power and Industrial in Charlotte, North Carolina. Full-time, office-based.
Lead civil/structural design and checking for industrial and power projects. Review drawings and 3D models covering civil, reinforced concrete, steel and architectural deliverables. Check geometry, connectivity, clashes, constructability and multidisciplinary interfaces. Review vendor/shop drawings and submittals; mentor designers and support quality, schedules and field coordination.
Requirements: associate degree in Drafting, Design Technology, Engineering Technology or related field, or equivalent experience; 15+ years civil/structural design in industrial, power, energy, manufacturing, chemical or heavy industrial facilities. Advanced AutoCAD and Autodesk structural tools; Navisworks, Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office; strong steel, reinforced-concrete, foundations and industrial-construction knowledge; ACI, AISC, IBC and OSHA familiarity. E3D/PDMS, AWP and EPC experience preferred. Occasional travel and industrial field assignments required.
