Senior Project Engineer (Engineer III) – Ardurra
Location: Charlotte, NC
Responsibilities
The Engineer III performs detailed phases of design engineering work for moderate‑size projects and may act as resident engineer on site. Key duties include:
- Reviewing and developing work products to meet client requirements and producing specifications, drawings, instructions, models, and related documents.
- Collaborating with suppliers to design and specify equipment.
- Evaluating the need for design or planning model changes and making appropriate recommendations.
- Consulting with construction personnel concerning design constructability, field conditions, sequencing, and scheduling.
- Providing resident engineering services on construction sites, reviewing compliance, schedules, costs, and invoicing.
- Ensuring drawings, specifications, reports, models and analyses meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements.
- Planning, scheduling, coordinating, and overseeing work of lower‑level engineers, designers or CADD staff.
- Preparing technical reports and proposal sections as requested.
- Assisting the Project Manager with construction services.
- Providing direction and supervision to Engineers I & II or design staff and ensuring independent QA/QC reviews.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited program or equivalent.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license strongly preferred.
- 4‑6 years of related work experience.
- Proven proficiency utilizing various computer software packages and automated engineering and design equipment.
