Senior Civil Engineer – Remediation Team

AECOM is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead and support Environmental Remediation and Coal Ash closure projects within the department.

Job Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical resource and technical advisor for the team.
• Provide specialized technical input to studies and design in the area of expertise.
• Develop study and design procedures to facilitate high‑quality cost‑effective work by others.
• Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
• Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
• Use expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
• Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
• Prepare technical specification sections.
• Provide input to development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• BA/BS in Civil Engineering or related field+ 6years of related experienceor demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Experience with Coal Combustion Residuals (CCR)
• Valid U.S Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review.

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 7+ years of relevant experience at an engineering consulting firm.
• Ability to proactively lead technical efforts and project team staff.
• Experience as Senior Project Engineer on large scale projects, including landfills, material excavation and dewatering, and coal ash closure
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training certification.
