About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Civil/Site Project Manager to join a growing civil engineering team in Nashville, Tennessee. This individual will lead projects across a diverse portfolio of land development assignments, including commercial, industrial, mixed-use, residential, and municipal developments. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with project management and client-facing skills to successfully deliver projects from concept through construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage civil site development projects from initial planning through construction completion.
  • Oversee the preparation of site layout, grading, drainage, stormwater management, utility design, and erosion control plans.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.
  • Coordinate project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and resource allocation.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, designers, and support staff.
  • Review engineering plans, specifications, technical reports, and permitting documents.
  • Manage entitlement, zoning, and permitting processes with local jurisdictions.
  • Support business development efforts through client relationship management and proposal preparation.
  • Mentor junior engineers and assist with their professional development.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with company quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain Tennessee PE through reciprocity.
  • 6+ years of experience in civil engineering and land development.
  • Proven experience managing projects and client relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of site development design, stormwater management, utilities, grading, and permitting.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Experience with Hydrology and Hydraulic software such as HydroCAD, ICPR, HEC-RAS, or StormCAD preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Experience

  • Commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, industrial, or residential land development projects.
  • Nashville Metro permitting experience or familiarity with Tennessee regulatory requirements.
  • Existing relationships with developers, architects, contractors, or municipal agencies in the region.
  • Experience assisting with business development and pursuing new client opportunities.
