Senior Engineer
We are hiring a Senior Engineer to contribute to multi-discipline Site/Civil design projects on a full-time, direct basis at our office in Camden, NJ. This person will have the opportunity to lead a variety of public and private site development projects across various markets.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects and tasks for a variety of client types on the private development side of the office.
- Act as the lead civil engineer of record on projects and coordinate with other disciplines as necessary.
- Responsible for development of and maintaining client accounts.
- Prepare proposals for new and existing clients, including estimation of project fees.
- Oversee the development of Land Development Plans, including the preparation of engineering design drawings, technical specification, and engineering reports from schematic design through construction.
- Coordinate permits through regulatory agencies for large‑scale, complex projects.
- Delegate workload to Junior Engineers and Drafters, mentoring and guiding them to develop Stormwater Management strategies, Utility Coordination, and Erosion & Sediment Control design.
- Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or a similar discipline).
- 10+ years of professional experience working in engineering with a focus on land development and associated permitting.
- PE license in NJ; other states are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Management and/or project management experience; proven ability to manage multi‑discipline projects is strongly preferred.
- Advanced expertise working with design and permitting activities.
- Experience working with water resources, such as stream and waterway restoration.
- Experience with engineering tools such as CADD, GIS, analytic programs; proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS/ArcInfo.
- Experience with H&H tools such as HydroCAD, InfoSWWM, OpenFlows WaterCAD, WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS.
- Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Proven ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision while displaying a positive attitude.
- Excellent organizational skills, with proven ability to work in a self‑motivated manner while effectively multi‑tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written); technical writing skills are strongly preferred.
Target Salary Range
$120K - $160K (per year)
