Responsibilities
- Prepare civil engineering designs, plans, reports, and technical documents.
- Support land development projects from planning and entitlement through construction.
- Develop and review construction documents and project deliverables.
- Respond to plan check comments and agency review comments.
- Research and apply local agency standards, codes, and design requirements.
- Support project schedules, budgets, and internal design deadlines.
- Review plans and technical documents for quality, accuracy, and compliance.
- Assist with construction administration support and RFI responses as needed.
- Mentor and support junior designers and engineering staff.
- Manage multiple design assignments while meeting deadlines and project objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
- 4+ years of civil engineering design and land development experience preferred.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required.
- Knowledge of Southern California agency standards and permitting processes preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate with internal teams, clients, consultants, and public agencies.
- Previous experience mentoring junior staff preferred.
- California PE license preferred, but not required unless applicable to the final role level.
- Experience with healthcare, higher education, civic, commercial, industrial, residential, or mixed-use developments is a plus.
