- Provides technical oversight and subject matter expertise for laboratories
- Provides day-to-day support and analytical oversight of instrument and method development and troubleshooting
- Recommends improvements in analytical equipment, procedures, techniques, and method development
- May perform qualitative and quantitative analyses on liquid, solid, and sludge samples for organic, inorganic and/or metal constituents
- May prepare technical reports based on the interpretation of analyzed data
- Provides technical leadership to less experienced chemists and technicians
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in chemistry or related science from an accredited college or university and professional related work experience
- Experience working in a nuclear facility or in a laboratory using radioactive material
