Overview

Responsibilities
- Under general supervision, assess, plan and implement the patient care requirements and treatment necessary for cardiopulmonary bypass/assistance before, during and after surgery.
- Sets up and operates the heart/lung machine.
- Consults with Physicians and selects appropriate equipment.
- Performs related duties as required.
SCHEDULE: 6:30 AM-3 PM. Monday-Friday.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited NYS college with an Associate or Bachelor's Degree with a major in perfusion technology or graduation from a NYS accredited certificate program in perfusion technology.
- Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion is required, once eligible.
- BLS is required.
