Senior Canonical Data ModelerWe are seeking an experienced Senior Canonical Data Modeler to lead the design and development of our enterprisewide canonical data models. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of data modeling principles, data governance, and data architecture. They will work closely with business stakeholders, data architects, and IT teams to create and maintain standardized, reusable, and scalable canonical data models that support our organization’s strategic objectives.ResponsibilitiesLead the development and maintenance of canonical data models ensuring alignment with business requirements and data governance policiesCollaborate with business stakeholders to understand business needs and develop data models that meet those needsDesign and implement data models that are scalable, flexible, and adaptable to changing business requirementsEnsure data models are consistent with industry standards and best practicesDevelop and maintain data modeling standards, guidelines, and proceduresProvide expertise and guidance on data modeling and data governance to IT teams and business stakeholdersCollaborate with data architects to ensure alignment with enterprise data architectureParticipate in data governance councils and working groups to ensure data models align with organizational data governance policiesStay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data modeling and data governanceRequirements15 years of experience in data modeling with a focus on canonical data modelingStrong understanding of data modeling principles, data governance, and data architectureExperience with data modeling tools and technologies such as Erwin, PowerDesigner, or similarExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work with business stakeholders and IT teamsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to understand complex business requirementsExperience with data governance frameworks and best practicesExperience in Supply Chain Management (SCM)Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fieldNice to HaveMaster’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fieldCertification in data modeling or data governance such as CDM or CDMPExperience with cloud-based data platforms and technologiesKnowledge of data quality and data integration principlesExperience with agile development methodologies
