About the Project:

The Client’s Wholesale team is launching Project Bedrock, a foundational modernization initiative to rebuild and decouple the Digital Auction Platform (DAP) from a legacy system, called Auction Management System (AMS).

Project Bedrock will establish a new, independent, modern auction backend — purpose-built for the future of a digital-first marketplace. By separating DAP from AMS, we will unlock the speed, scalability, and flexibility required to deliver new functionality faster, simplify operations, and support client’s long-term digital growth.

The primary objective of Phase 1 is to stand up the core Bedrock platform — a self-contained auction backend capable of handling core operations:

• Inventory Management
• Financial Transactions
• Customer Management

This initiative is broad in scope, spanning across four or more teams.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Fullstack Developer on this project, you will be instrumental in contributing to designing, developing, and deploying a robust and scalable application review tool. Your responsibilities will include:

• Implementation of core features for the Bedrock platform, which could include Inventory Management, Financial Transactions, and Customer Management.
• Collaborating closely with team members, across teams, and product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Developing high-quality, maintainable, and efficient C# code within an agile development environment.
• Designing and implementing efficient data models and database interactions.
• Integrating the new system with existing platforms and 3rd party systems.
• Conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback to peers
• Troubleshooting and debugging issues, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of the application.
• Contributing to technical documentation and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in C# development, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Extensive experience with.NET Core & C#
• Familiarity with front-end development using modern frameworks, specifically React
• Experience with the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, including core services and infrastructure.
• Experience creating and optimizing DevOps pipelines (CI/CD) specifically within the Azure DevOps platform.
• Understanding of software architecture principles and best practices, with proficiency in applying design patterns to solve technical challenges
• Proficiency in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of database systems & storage (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, NoSQL) and ORM frameworks (e.g., Entity Framework).
• Demonstrated ability to write clean, testable, and efficient code.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Helpful but not required:

• Experience in contemporary JavaScript / TypeScript (ES2015+), React Hooks, Next.js, Nx
• Experience in using any message queue, such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Experience in writing GraphQL interfaced services
