Position: Senior Buyer
Location: Melville, NY
Company/Industry: Well-established aerospace and defense electronics manufacturer
Schedule: Mon-Fri In-Office Only
Salary: Open depending on experience, flexibility for the right candidate + benefits
Type: Direct Hire
Responsibilities

  • Source and purchase electronic and mechanical components
  • Evaluate suppliers for quality, pricing, and delivery performance
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts
  • Manage purchase orders, lead times, and supplier communication
  • Resolve supply chain issues and shortages
  • Support cost?reduction and supplier improvement initiatives
Qualifications
  • 5+ years purchasing experience in electronics or manufacturing
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
  • Experience with aerospace/defense supply chain preferred
  • ERP/MRP proficiency

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $90,000.00 - $125,000.00
