Sr. Campaign Business Systems AnalystThe Sr. BSA will contribute to and execute client multi-channel campaigns and ad-hoc reporting deliverables varying from simple, recurring campaigns to large, complex analytic extracts.
Responsibilities include working with the team to scope, document, design, QA, and produce marketing campaigns. This individual will function as a liaison directly supporting the client, their partners, and the internal account teams, with a strong emphasis on SQL-based campaign execution and AI-enabled analysis and optimization.The Sr. BSA will be expected to manage the following responsibilities:Design, build, and execute multi-channel campaigns leveraging SQL-based campaign tools and internal platforms (e.g., internal SQL-based tools; experience with platforms such as Adobe Campaign or IBM Unica Campaign is a plus but not required).Use SQL to build audience segments, define selection logic, and support campaign workflows and analytic extracts.Perform data issue investigation as it pertains to campaigns and audience selections.Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing campaign procedures that are cost effective, operationally efficient, and meet user requirements.Utilize generative AI tools (such as Copilot and ChatGPT) to streamline the campaign lifecycle—from requirements gathering and design through development and QA/QC.Support quality and user acceptance testing, including creating test cases and executing tests related to marketing campaigns and campaign logic.Analyze complex business problems and translate them into scalable, automated campaign solutions.Support Issue Management from identification through resolution, including root cause analysis on data and campaign logic.Support/mentor Campaign BSA team members with campaign design, data analysis, and overall technical needs.Support/mentor client campaign resources, helping them understand campaign capabilities, data usage, and best practices.Schedule and lead team meetings and send follow-up notes with clear action items.Lead cross-functional, linked teams to address business or systems issues related to campaign execution and data.Work with clients, external vendors, and account teams to maintain delivery and deployment schedules and meet agreed SLAs.Follow the campaign calendar and manage deliverables to ensure on-time execution and quality.Requirements:Familiarity with AI and generative AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar) and their practical application in:Requirements gatheringAnalysis and documentationQA and process improvementWorking knowledge of marketing concepts and end-to-end marketing execution, particularly in multi-channel campaign environments.Working knowledge of relational databases and proficiency in SQL (this is a core requirement).Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Able to demonstrate a strong technical aptitude and understand both business and technical language and ideas.Able to interpret business requirements, assess completeness, obtain missing information, and fully translate requirements into accurate and timely campaigns/reports.Able to identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.Able to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders and ensure program delivery and quality control.Able to prioritize work and shift priorities as needed to meet aggressive deadlines and milestones.Able to assess a situation, receive input from stakeholders, and select a course of action.Effective working with local, remote, and global team members.Able to assemble, analyze, and evaluate data and make appropriate, well-reasoned recommendations and decisions to support the business, its marketing objectives, and internal project teams.Pays keen attention to detail and follows through on action items.Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.Excellent drive, initiative, and sense of personal accountability.Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical details clearly and work effectively in a team environment.Able to lead a project and solution, in addition to a work-stream within a solution.Able to accurately document new processes, gathering and organizing all necessary information in a logical format.Able to make proactive recommendations based on data insights and campaign performance.Able to lead effective client meetings, negotiate deliverables, and drive successful outcomes.Able to effectively discuss the structure of a business to identify appropriate campaign and data solutions.Tools Experience:Required: Working knowledge of relational databases and proficiency in SQL.Preferred (Nice to Have):Working knowledge of Adobe Campaign management/execution tool.Working knowledge of Unica Campaign management/execution tool.Experience with other campaign management platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud) is a plus.Experience & Education:Requires 5+ years of related experience in campaign execution, marketing technology, business systems analysis, or a related field.Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science (CS), Data/Analytics, or a related discipline.Additional information:Publicis Digital Experience is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
