Senior Business AnalystCG Infinity is seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst with strong expertise in SQL and Business Intelligence (BI) to serve as a critical liaison between client stakeholders and technical development teams. This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate complex business needs into actionable technical requirements while leveraging data to drive decision-making. The ideal candidate excels in stakeholder communication, data analysis, and delivering high-impact insights.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary bridge between client business stakeholders and development teamsFacilitate workshops, meetings, and discovery sessions to gather and refine requirementsTranslate business needs into clear, concise functional and technical specificationsBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring alignment and satisfactionBusiness Analysis & Requirements ManagementElicit, document, and validate business and system requirementsCreate user stories, process flows, and functional specificationsPerform gap analysis, impact analysis, and solution assessmentsEnsure traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycleData Analysis & SQL ExpertiseWrite complex SQL queries to extract, analyze, and validate data from multiple sourcesPerform data profiling, validation, and reconciliation to support business decisionsCollaborate with data engineers and developers to ensure data quality and integrityBusiness Intelligence & ReportingDesign and develop dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar)Translate business questions into data-driven insights and visualizationsSupport KPI definition, metric tracking, and executive reportingIdentify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvementCollaboration with Development TeamsPartner with developers to ensure accurate understanding of requirementsParticipate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and agile ceremoniesSupport testing efforts, including UAT planning and executionAssist in troubleshooting and resolving data or system issuesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar roleAdvanced proficiency in SQL (complex joins, subqueries, performance tuning)Strong experience with Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)Proven ability to gather and document detailed business and technical requirementsExperience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skillsStrong communication and stakeholder management abilitiesPreferred QualificationsExperience in consulting environments or client-facing rolesFamiliarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processesKnowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP)Experience with data modeling and data governance practicesCertifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or relevant BI certificationsCG Infinity, Inc. is a technology consulting firm that was founded in 1998.
