Business Analyst New York, NY - Hybrid 12 Months+We need a senior business analyst with asset management experience, great communication, and solutioning mindset.Must: (15+ years Exp)Typical Business Analyst Responsibilities Strong experience in querying, mapping and documenting dataExperience leading and directing others to achieve measurable results.Demonstrated ability to articulate customized solutions to meet business requirementsAdvanced experience working with Agile/Kanban software development processesAdvanced skills using a variety of tools to document workflows and data mapping including but not limited to Excel and Visio/LucidAbility to work be comfortable with ambiguity and to be flexible in a dynamic environment.Ability to thrive in a matrixed organizationUnderstanding of analysis and documentation goals throughout the project lifecycleAbility to facilitate decision making through workshopsAbility to learn quickly and work in a changing environment and under tight deadlinesAbility to independently manage personal timelines and meet tight deadlinesAbility to successfully manage and coordinate simultaneous project deliverables across groups and teamsFinancial Services is a MUST Asset Management Background --> Specifically FIXED INCOME (Loosened the need for FIXED INCOME - but ASSET MGMT IS A MUST)100% needs to be an IC - Has to work independently Team doesn't have a presence in Seattle This is a new area with NOT a lot of documentation. Has to be able to take initiativeHas to know what their 30/60/90 looks like.Cannot be afraid to get their hands dirty, identify problems, come up with solutions, bring the right people to the table.Stakeholder Mgmt is very importantWorking Knowledge within JiraHave some sort of technical lingo Will be working with Technical TeamsStrong Data Analysis within different Databases SQL (Simple SQL)Strong Solutioning Experience Someone who can take a large initiative and come up with an entire solution This is the tasks for this initiative and be able to delegate the tasks to the team.Not someone who is given tasks, but the person coming up with the tasks themselves and handing out to team to take care ofPlus:Previous Decommissioning or re-architecture initiatives A lot of Decommissioning of applications current happening at MS/ParametricD2D:Current initiative: Data Center Decommissioning Plenty of applications on that data center that are being refined (refining new homes for the functionality) Work with business to understand what the current business looks like, document the user journey's, work with Tech to understand the system flow, work with other members of team to identify solutions / understand where these solutions will move to.Ability to draw out user journey's Work with the business to write user storiesMisc:15+ Years Exp -- this is a Sr. Role.
