Senior Business AnalystLocation: Bakersfield, CADuration: Long termResponsibilities:• Interact with business owners/users/stakeholders to understand the business problems/scope for the project request.• Gather detailed requirements from the project stakeholders and develop Business Requirement Document(s) and Functional Specification Document(s) for the project.• Analyze the requirements and work with solution architects/data architects to create design documents.• Interact with business users to understand the data used for their business process and functions performed with the data.• Consult with different run teams for extraction of supporting details for the requirement.• Create different project documents (HDL, UML, Use Case, Wire Framework, etc.,) related to requirement gathering in pre-defined template document.• Acts as a liaison between departmental end-users, technical analysts and other groups during different stages of the project and all SDLC phases.• Prepare technical/functional/nonfunctional requirements by collaborating with technical team.• Coordinate with business owners/users/stakeholders for getting agreement and signoff on the requirement specifications.• Interact with global team during all SDLC phases of the project.• Assist Project Manager in various aspects of project such as Stakeholder engagement meetings, Scope Management, etc.Soft and technical skill requirement:• 8+ years of work experience as a Business Analyst Practitioner.• Must have experience working on large scale data warehouse implementation projects.• Working experience in Oil & Gas Domain (Upstream Business Knowledge) would be an excellent additional skill.• Must have proficiency in SQL and understanding of Data warehousing concepts.• Strong knowledge of Business Analysis Processes and industry standards including Hands-on experience using various tools for documentation.• Excellent communication, customer interaction skills and Project Development & Management Lifecycle Knowledge.• Strong focus of quick learning and open to adaptation to new technologies.• Strong experience in functional testing.• Ability to Reverse engineer existing projects/process to identify business logic.• Ability to manage pool of projects and priorities (work on multiple projects).• Functional knowledge of Teradata, MicroStrateg is an add-on.
