Senior BIM Coordinator (Remote) - Hydronic Piping Construction

Gryphon Oakwood are retained with a $600M mechanical contractor to appoint a Senior BIM Coordinator who will manage the design and work with the fabrication of piping (mostly hydronic) for large-scale (up to $200M) mechanical scopes across mission critical and life sciences construction projects.

Location: This can be a fully remote role

Salary: $120K to $150K with potential for a bonus and a competitive benefits package

Career growth: In the next 6 months they are looking at restructuring where there will be management positions available leading a division.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead BIM coordination for large-scale mechanical piping systems across complex mission critical and life sciences projects ranging from $10M up to $200M.
• Coordinate between design (LOD 350 up to 450+), fabrication, and field teams to ensure accurate, install-ready model delivery.
• Manage clash detection and multidisciplinary coordination across project stakeholders.
• Support prefabrication workflows through fabrication-ready model outputs.
• Contribute to constructability reviews and preconstruction coordination strategy.
• Align BIM deliverables with project schedules and installation sequencing.
• Mentor junior coordinators and help strengthen BIM standards across the business.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of BIM/VDC experience supporting mechanical construction projects.
• Strong background coordinating hydronic piping systems.
• Experience supporting mission critical and/or life sciences environments preferred.
• Proficiency in Revit and fabrication coordination workflows.
• Experience coordinating with fabrication teams and field installation stakeholders.
• Strong communication and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
