and Europe and expanding our team of engineers, scientists, and innovators.Apply now to join our team and be part of something bigger than yourself — where collaboration, creativity, and purpose come together to build the technologies that will define the next century.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn BMS hardware architecture for lithium-based UAV battery packsDesign schematics and guide PCB layout for lightweight, high-reliability BMS designsSelect and integrate battery monitoring ICs, MCUs, current/temperature sensing, and protection circuitsDevelop and validate protection and control strategies (OV/UV, OC, OT, short-circuit, cell balancing)Lead hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation testingDefine and execute electrical, thermal, environmental, and fault-injection testsSupport product integration with customer-facing HIL, system integration, and flight-testing teamsCollaborate closely with firmware development, pack testing, and battery pack integrators.Drive design reviews, DFMEA, and technical decision-making with minimal supervisionQualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field6+ years of experience in BMS hardware or power electronics designDeep understanding of lithium-ion / lithium-polymer battery systems. LFP/Li-metal/Li-S battery knowledge is a plusStrong analog and mixed-signal circuit design skillsHands-on experience with schematic capture and PCB tools (Altium, KiCad, OrCAD, etc.)Comfortable in the lab: oscilloscopes, power analyzers, electronic loads, thermal toolsExperience bringing hardware from prototype to productionExposure to SOC/SOH estimation, functional safety, or safety-critical systemsStartup experience or desire to work in a high-ownership, fast-iteration environmentPhysical RequirementsAbility to wear required PPE (labcoat, gloves, protective eyewear)Ability to stand for prolonged period of timeCompensations Range:The expected base salary range for this position is between$128,200.00 - $192,400.00The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.In addition to base pay this position is eligible for tier based bonus and equity, healthcare, dental, vision, corporate discounts, paid holidays, PTO and sick time, 401K, employee relocation plan (if applicable)Lyten is an equal opportunity employer.
