Senior Backend EngineerDesign, develop, and maintain containerized backend systems using Java 17+ and Spring Framework. Build scalable APIs and data transformation pipelines for real-time telemetry ingestion. Work with low-level communication protocols like Modbus and BACNet; utilize tools such as Wireshark for diagnostics. Deploy and manage solutions on Azure (preferred) or GCP. Implement and maintain observability systems to ensure system health and performance. Collaborate with a distributed team to deliver high-impact solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a fast-paced production environment.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field. 5+ years of experience in backend development using Java 17+ and Spring Framework. Strong understanding of API design, XML/JSON data models, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, GCP acceptable). Familiarity with observability tools and patterns. Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.Experience with IoT systems and device telemetry. Knowledge of machine learning infrastructure and data pipelines. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a geographically distributed team.
