Senior Azure Cloud Security Engineer

To support a growing technology practice, the remote contract Senior Azure Cloud Security Engineer will design, implement, and maintain security controls across Microsoft Azure environments while serving as a senior technical resource for cloud security best practices. Key Responsibilities Design and maintain security architecture and controls across Microsoft Azure environments Implement and manage security capabilities using Microsoft security technologies such as Defender for Cloud and Sentinel Identify and remediate cloud vulnerabilities and security risks while partnering with engineering teams to integrate security throughout the CI/CD lifecycle Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in information security or related technical discipline 4+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure security experience in enterprise environments Strong knowledge of Azure architecture and security concepts, including identity and access management Experience with Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Azure security posture management Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code technologies such as Terraform or Bicep
