- Provide advice and assistance with systems engineering processes, including planning, analysis, design, configuration management, development, integration, verification and validation, and cost and risk.
- Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
- Work with the design, development, and test teams in support of advanced software/hardware efforts.
- Provide highly technical expertise and guidance in solving complex engineering problems.
- Perform in all phases of hardware development, integration/implementation, and analysis.
- Participate in hardware evaluations.
- Develop standards and guidelines for tasks being performed.
- Develop technical requirements based on operational scenarios, across all phases of system development (including concept exploration, design, integration, test, and fielding) for highly complex systems/subsystems including the generation of Tailored Airworthiness Certification Criteria (TACC) or the modification of such criteria in the Modified Airworthiness Certification Criteria (MACC).
- Participate in events such as, but not limited to, Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs), Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs), Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs), First Article Tests (FATs), and Configuration Change Boards for Airworthiness (CCB/AW).
Requirements
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in a related field and ten years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoD or other USG ISR/SOF Organizations.
- OR, bachelor’s degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD or other USG ISR/SOF Organizations.
- Must have successfully completed an undergraduate degree with a major in engineering from a college or university with an Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited engineering program(s) for the degree requirements of the position (e.g., electrical, mechanical, aerospace).
- Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
