Senior Audit Manager – Manufacturing/Retail/Distribution

Location: Phoenix, AZ | Schedule: Full-time, hybrid | Compensation: Up to $140,000 base salary, DOE

Overview

An established, locally owned CPA and business advisory firm is seeking a Senior Audit Manager to join its growing team. This role will manage both clients and staff across several industry niches, including Manufacturing/Retail/Distribution, Restaurants, Construction, Real Estate, and Individual/Estate/Gift, playing a key role in delivering high-quality audit and advisory services.

What you'll do

• Perform field work for audits, reviews, and compilations
• Prepare financial statements with full disclosures
• Plan, supervise, and complete routine engagements
• Supervise other accountants of varying levels of proficiency and experience
• Review work performed by other accountants
• Develop new client relationships and strengthen existing ones
• Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to clients
• Assist with firm administrative functions as needed

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Minimum 5+ years of public accounting experience
• Active CPA license
• Self-motivated with strong team orientation
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience preparing financial statements and income tax returns
• High understanding of GAAP and special purpose frameworks
• High understanding of GAAS
• At least a limited understanding of GAGAS / Yellow Book
• Experience with financial statement compilation, both with and without notes
• Experience with financial statement audits and reviews

Compensation and benefits

• Base salary up to $140,000, depending on experience
