Job description:
What you will be doing:
- Manage all phases of general liability litigation from case inception through resolution.
- Develop litigation strategies and provide legal analysis and risk assessment.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and settlement agreements.
- Conduct depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials as needed.
- Communicate directly with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and experts.
- Supervise and mentor junior attorneys, associates, and support staff.
- Collaborate with firm leadership to expand and strengthen the California practice.
Experience you will need:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active admission to the California Bar.
- Significant experience handling general liability litigation matters.
- Strong legal writing, research, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to independently manage complex litigation matters and client relationships.
- Experience supervising associates or litigation teams preferred.
- Existing portable book of business preferred.
- Experience generating and maintaining client relationships.
- Ability to bring an associate or established team.
- Prior leadership or partnership experience within a law firm environment.
