Job description:

What you will be doing:

• Manage all phases of general liability litigation from case inception through resolution.
• Develop litigation strategies and provide legal analysis and risk assessment.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and settlement agreements.
• Conduct depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials as needed.
• Communicate directly with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and experts.
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys, associates, and support staff.
• Collaborate with firm leadership to expand and strengthen the California practice.

Experience you will need:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active admission to the California Bar.
• Significant experience handling general liability litigation matters.
• Strong legal writing, research, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage complex litigation matters and client relationships.
• Experience supervising associates or litigation teams preferred.
• Existing portable book of business preferred.
• Experience generating and maintaining client relationships.
• Ability to bring an associate or established team.
• Prior leadership or partnership experience within a law firm environment.
