Our client is seeking a senior‑level associate to join its Emerging Technologies practice within a nationally recognized Entertainment & Media team. This position is based in Chicago and is ideal for attorneys with significant experience advising clients on emerging technology, data privacy, advertising, and marketing matters.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5years of relevant legal experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Emerging technologies
- Data privacy and cybersecurity
- Advertising and marketing law
- Demonstrated experience with:
- Privacy and product compliance counseling
- Technology and data-driven transactions
- Contract drafting and negotiation
- AdTech and digital media transactions
- Data breach response and related counseling
- Active membership in a U.S. state bar (preferably IL)required.
Preferred Experience
Strong candidates will have experience in several of the following areas:
- Developing privacy and data governance programs
- Conducting privacy assessments and DPIAs
- Drafting privacy policies and notices
- Negotiating data processing agreements
- Advising on emerging issues involving AI, AdTech, health, biometric, and youth data
