A respected boutique law firm in Baltimore is seeking an experienced attorney with strong litigation skills and the ability to work independently. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior attorney who enjoys handling sophisticated matters, working directly with business clients, and practicing in a collaborative, family-friendly environment.

Unlike many firms, this opportunity does not require a portable book of business. The firm is looking for a seasoned attorney who can step into an active practice, manage matters autonomously, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients.

What You'll Do

• Handle a variety of commercial, business, and civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.
• Manage construction litigation matters, including contractor, subcontractor, and project-related disputes.
• Advise business clients on employment-related issues, including:
• Employee relations and workplace policies
• Employee handbook drafting and updates
• Hiring, discipline, and termination issues
• Compliance and risk management counseling
• Serve as outside general counsel to clients receiving ongoing legal support.
• Work directly with business owners, executives, and decision-makers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of attorney experience.
• Maryland bar admission required.
• Significant commercial litigation, business litigation, or general civil litigation experience.
• Employment counseling experience strongly preferred.
• Construction litigation experience strongly preferred.
• Strong client-management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of matters.

Compensation

Base Salary: $200,000-$220,000
