We are partnered with an established, private, national engineering consulting firm specializing in high-performance building design, energy efficiency, and sustainable MEP solutions across new build and tenant improvement projects.
With the recent launch of a downtown Los Angeles office , the firm is seeking a Senior Mechanical PE to lead the development and growth of this multidisciplinary practice in Southern California.
This is a key leadership role with real accountability; ideal for someone currently operating at Senior/Principal level and ready for broader responsibility, accountability, and a clear path to Ownership.
The Opportunity:
You will serve as the technical and cultural anchor for the LA office, helping to establish standards, grow client relationships, and build a high-performing team across mechanical, electrical, and building performance disciplines.
Projects span healthcare, science & technology, higher education, and commercial sectors , including several high-profile flagship buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead mechanical design and delivery for complex MEP projects
- Set technical standards and best practices for the regional office
- Mentor and develop engineers and designers
- Partner with leadership on business development and growth strategy
- Collaborate closely with architects, owners, and internal teams
Qualifications:
- Mechanical PE required
- 10+ years of experience in MEP engineering consulting
- Strong background in high-performance and sustainable building design
- Proven leadership in technical delivery and project execution
- Experience operating at Senior Associate / Associate Principal level preferred
- Base salary: $150,000 - $200,000 , depending on experience
- Clear path to Principal
- In-person role (4 days per week, LA office)
