Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Associate, Manufacturing Engineer, Electronics, to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining manufacturing processes for electronic products. This role involves collaboration with design engineers, quality assurance, and production teams to ensure that our manufacturing processes are efficient, cost-effective, and meet the highest quality standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for electronic products.
  • Design and implement production tools, fixtures, and equipment to improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Work closely with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new products.
  • Establish and maintain process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot manufacturing issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance to ensure products meet required specifications and standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Provide technical support and training to production staff.
  • Monitor and analyze manufacturing metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge and experience with J-STD-001 standards.
  • PCB/PCBA manufacturing experience.
  • Strong understanding of electronic product assembly processes and equipment.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and electronics design tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing execution systems (MES).

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in the State of Washington is $73,000 - $136,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
