Role Summary & Impact
The Senior Associate, Programmatic Commerce will support tactical activation and day‑to‑day media management of programmatic‑based activations. The role focuses on audience and creative strategy development, competitive research, campaign setup, management and reporting of programmatic media buys across retailer media networks and DSPs such as Amazon, CitrusAd, Criteo, The Trade Desk, Walmart etc. The position requires an understanding of each platform’s programmatic offerings – from self‑serve to managed service – and entails direct partnership with retail media networks to maximize investment for client accounts.
Skills and Experience
- Manage programmatic media activations across key retailer networks and DSPs.
- Execute campaign setup, bid recommendations and budgeting to hit client goals, including use of retail bid‑management technologies.
- Audit and review digital creative tags for accuracy; provide guidance to the Ad Ops team on verification requirements.
- Ensure ongoing campaign compliance with GroupM guidelines and best practices.
- Prepare campaign performance reports on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
- Identify insights and optimisations using historical data and competitive research.
- Address technical issues with programmatic campaign serving.
- Understand drivers of performance on e‑commerce platforms and marketplaces.
- Assist with reconciliation, invoicing/billing, trafficking and data mapping to internal media management platform.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Marketing, Communications, Advertising or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in biddable performance media execution or paid e‑commerce, with a preference for retail media programmatic execution.
- Experience managing and optimising campaigns across multiple retail platforms such as Amazon, Instacart, Walmart, Target, Kroger, Criteo, Google and Meta.
- Strong drive to understand the retail landscape and current trends in commerce media.
- Basic analytical skills with ability to develop data‑driven insights.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Self‑starter attitude thriving in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
