This role will assist in the implementation of the company's business strategy in the space of asset management and operations, while also ensuring the successful delivery of operational projects. This role reports directly to the Director of Asset Management and works with the EPC, Project Development, Business Development, Operations, and Finance teams. Scope may eventually expand to include other renewable energy technologies.Roles & Responsibilities:Oversee contracted services for assigned assets, ensuring safety, quality, environmental compliance, and adherence to service agreementsEnsure compliance with environmental, regulatory, ISO, and all project agreements (e.g., PPAs, O&M, interconnection, land leases)Lead and participate in project meetings with contractors, integrators, and stakeholdersSupport selection, negotiation, and management of service providersAddress and resolve legal, contractual, regulatory, and commercial issuesManage warranties in line with project contractsDevelop and manage asset business plans, including P&L and capital budgets; report on variancesFulfill all reporting requirements (daily–annual) for assigned assetsCoordinate with partners, offtakers, and third parties to resolve issues and ensure alignmentMaintain strong communication with counterparties; respond quickly and implement solutionsCollaborate on power trading strategies and operational planningSupport asset transitions from EPC to operations and onboarding of new assetsPartner with EPC on evaluating new storage technologies and associated risksContribute to cross-functional feedback loops and broader company strategyBuild and maintain industry relationshipsPerform other duties and special projects as neededSkills:Inverter-based resource (IBR) asset management experienceExperience with plant operations, substation protocol, regulatory compliance, contractual management, and financial and technical reporting on IBR assetsKnowledge of power market concepts, including physical and virtual PPAs, hedges, curtailment, SCED, basis risk, Resource Adequacy, power and commodity price curves, DART optimization, and RECsKnowledge of NERC GO and GOP complianceProficient in Excel and PowerPoint for analysis, reporting and presentationsExcellent written and oral communication skillsProficiency in building and maintaining relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levelsKnowledge of data analytics specific to grid-scale lithium-ion battery projectsKnowledge of energy storage technology offerings and suppliers, including inverters and transformersAbility to negotiate and manage vendor and contractor contractsAbility to manage project and portfolio financialsProficiency with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, etc.)Experience using Salesforce a plusAble to walk over undeveloped land unassisted, travel unassisted, and sit at a computer for long periods of timeSafe driving record, valid driver's licenseCharacteristics of an Ideal Candidate:Passion for energy development and the environmentCreative problem-solving ability and solutions-oriented mindsetTechnical curiosity, and ability to learn different domains (software, hardware, electronics including telecommunications, electrical, cooling & heating)Data proficiency, able to deep-dive in data to come to technical conclusionsSelf-starter with a desire to succeed and a focus on creating valueTeam player, proactive attitudeOrganized, attention to detailComfortable with a fast-paced, rapidly changing environmentAbility to make informed decisions quickly and a bias for actionIntegrity and accountabilityEfficient, diligent, and effective work ethic to accomplish key responsibilities promptlyEducation & Experience:4-year university degree, BS or BA5+ years of experience in asset management, specific to energy generation projects.
Preference for experience with both distribution- and transmission-interconnected projects1+ years of experience in the operations and management of grid-scale battery energy storage projectsTravel & Time Commitment:Travel will vary, expect approximately 25% of the timeThis is a full-time, exempt salaried position. Standard office hours are from 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM EST. The demands of projects may require work outside of these times.Compensation & Benefits:Compensation for this role includes a base salary range of $132,000 to $166,000 annually, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.
This range reflects the target level for this hire; however, we may consider candidates at other career levels depending on experience.
