Senior Applied Scientist, LLM Code Agents, Kiro Science

Key Responsibilities

• Push the boundaries of reinforcement learning and post‑training methodologies for large language models specialized in code intelligence
• Invent and implement state‑of‑the‑art machine learning solutions that operate at unprecedented Amazon scale
• Deploy revolutionary products that directly impact the daily workflows of millions of developers worldwide
• Break new ground in AI and machine learning, challenging what’s possible in intelligent code assistance
• Publish and present pioneering work at premier ML and NLP conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, EMNLP)
• Accelerate innovation by working directly with customers to rapidly transition research breakthroughs into production systems

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of building machine learning models for business applications
• PhD or Master’s degree and 6+ years of applied research experience
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or a related language
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning

Preferred Qualifications

• First author publications at Tier‑1 ML conferences

Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $192,200.00 – $260,000.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
