Job TitleThe expectation of the SRAE is to work alongside Business Development Managers to build strong relationships with prospective customers and support the development of tailored products and tooling solutions.
The role requires a high level of technical expertise to evaluate customer requirements, guide design and process decisions, and ensure alignment with manufacturing capabilities and production intent. In addition, the SRAE ensures profitability by participating in the quote process, establishing pricing, and maintaining relationship until the scope is well defined, validated, and ready for execution.ResponsibilitiesIdentify markets where Client technologies could offer a compelling value proposition that can solve problems in a highly differentiated and valuable wayDevelop specific RWW statementsWork with regional management to gain buy-in for the market explorationPerform market evaluation of the target market and either validate the VP and RWW via repeat production POs or recommend stopping pursuit of the marketLead initial evaluation and validation of technologies to key customer specificationsTransition successful RWW to permanent account managersCollaborate regionally and globally to develop product and sales strategy and tacticsDevelop and present value proposition to potential customersMaintain effective internal communicationInterface with R&D and PD to test and validate initial prototypes to technical requirements for supporting early RWW assessmentsParticipate in quote efforts, including establishing all inputs required to effectively develop costs and establish pricing, as well as delivering and presenting quotesWork along side Business Development Manager to obtain customer commitments (purchase orders)Participate in and/or coordinate with Program Managers as appropriate for gate reviewsParticipate in developing our product strategy by identifying customer needs and by gathering and communicating competitive knowledgeActively participate in process improvement by participating in department and program meetingsRequirementsMinimum of 10 years Sales/Application Engineering Experience in a technical product environmentExperience in one or all industries: Aerospace, Industrial or Sporting GoodsTechnical or Engineering BackgroundProactive communicator and collaboratorStrong knowledge of Client business model, culture and technologiesAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, along with strong presentation skillsAbility to maintain and develop new relationships; negotiating skills; ability to influence customer decisionsStrong organizational skills; attention to detail; financial managementAbility to problem solveAbility to travelExperience in Aerospace preferredEducationMinimum of Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education in a technically relevant disciplineWe offer attractive, competitive compensation and benefits including, medical, dental, 401k, short-term disability, AD&D, tuition reimbursement, and more.
