Senior Application ProgrammerWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Application Programmer to support the development, administration, and enhancement of a custom-built.NET application. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in C#, ASP.NET Core, and MSSQL, along with experience working in Agile environments. This role involves hands-on development, code reviews, performance optimization, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.Key Responsibilities:Develop, administer, and configure a custom-built.NET applicationProvide technical knowledge transfer, training, documentation, and mentorship to State personnelOffer oversight and guidance for application enhancements and performance improvementsPerform code reviews, testing, and validation of new codeParticipate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectivesCollaborate with Technical Architects to ensure compliance with State standards and best practicesRequired Skills & Experience:5+ years of hands-on experience with: C#ASP.NET Core (version 6.0 or later)Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL)2+ years of enterprise-level software development experience2+ years of experience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsPreferred Skills & Experience:Experience leading a team of application developers within the Microsoft technology stackExperience with distributed systems (Microservices/SOA)Reporting tools such as SSRS, Power BI, or TableauExperience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Octopus Deploy)Strong experience with Git version control and branching strategiesFront-end development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)Experience with modern frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js, Node.js, or TypeScriptStrong understanding of RESTful API design and integrationExperience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep)Understanding of web application security best practicesExperience working with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWSFamiliarity with API integrations and external data sourcesExperience with messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Service Bus) and asynchronous programming***Lumen and / or its clients will not provide equipment (Laptop, monitor, etc.) to the selected contractor.
