Senior Application Development Engineer

Applications Programmer – SeniorASRC Federal is looking for an experienced Applications Programmer – Senior to support their work with the U.S. Army Contracting Command (ACC) Chief Information Officer (CIO) G6 at Redstone Arsenal, AL. The senior developer will collaborate with other senior developers to lead design, develop, and sustain business automation solutions and data visualization platforms using full-stack software development, the Microsoft Power Platform, and/or SharePoint Online within the Army 365 environment.The candidate will collaborate with government leads and technical staff to improve mission performance through scalable app development, automation, data reporting, governance adherence, and support services. This role also includes leading solution implementation, documentation, training coordination, and troubleshooting efforts to ensure system continuity and user satisfaction for assigned applications.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain applications requested through the ACC Virtual Service Center using the appropriate platforms.Develop Power Platform solutions (Canvas and Model-Driven Power Apps, Power Automate flows, and Power BI dashboards)Administer and maintain the Business Automation and Data Visualization platform to ensure optimal performance, security, and availabilityProvide technical guidance and recommendations for new features, services, and best practicesWork with Government, contractor staff, and end-users in the ideation and grooming processes to supply requirements in the form of user stories, mockups, new/alternate processes, data flows, and improvements to the user experience.Mentor junior developers throughout the development process, giving valuable feedback during code review and sprint review.Ensure compliance with ACC governance frameworks for uniformity across all business applications and dashboardsIntegrate workflows and business logic within enterprise environments to streamline mission-critical processesPrepare and deliver training and end-user materials for developed solutionsLead the creation and maintenance of detailed technical and non-technical documentation for all developed toolsSupport ticket resolution for application-related issues within established response timelinesInterface with both government and commercial automation platforms to enhance collaboration and knowledge sharingSupport application production environments using cloud and/or on-premise solutions.Participate in technical communities of practice and contribute to the ACC platform modernization roadmapRequired QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of experience in application developmentSupported web and server-oriented application development and code reviewDemonstrable experience contributing to the entirety of the software development process and lifecyclePrior experience designing solutions and guiding task breakdown and research to reduce ambiguous requirements.Demonstrable familiarity giving technical guidance to development and program leadershipUnderstanding of Agile and DevSecOps project deliveryActive secret clearanceDesired QualificationsExperience building, designing, and/or implementing business automation as well as data visualization and business intelligence experience.Prior design and development with Dataverse, SharePoint, and Power PlatformMentored, led, or advised small project teams for product and feature deliverablesPrior full-stack development, ideally for web coding in C#,.NET, Javascript, React, Python, CSS, Typescript, HTML, REACTConfiguration and management of GitLab, Azure DevOps, or other project and code repo.Prior experience developing and/or integrating REST APIsTroubleshoot production problems related to software applicationsPrior support and delivery of system/administrator, user, and test documentationPrior experience with VantagePrior Work with SMEs, DBAs, and Principal Developers to address database design, data conversion, and data presentationExperience leading technical initiatives within Army 365 or other DoD environmentsFamiliar leveraging AI tools in support of rapid SDLCsUnderstanding of application deployment in the cloud.Website oriented front-end design and developmentClearance LevelSECRET ClearanceEducation RequirementsBachelor's degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science or equivalent combination of experience and education.CertificationCertification in Power Platform (e.g., PL-100, PL-400) or related Microsoft credentials preferredSecurity+ RequiredWork Environment and Physical Demands:This role is 100% on-site at Redstone Arsenal, AL.We invest in the lives of our employees, both in and out of the workplace, by providing competitive pay and benefits packages.
