Overview

Title: Senior Application Developer

Seeking an experienced Sr. Application Developer with hands-on experience developing modern integration applications in both public and on-premises cloud environments. Designs, develops and operates integration solutions, either greenfield or reimplementation of existing solutions following operating procedures and SDLC guidelines. Works closely with internal technical teams to design, prototype, develop and maintain complex applications. Performs proof of concepts to evaluate and prove out non-functional requirements and options. Uses toolsets that adhere to the frameworks of the technical stack complying with the organization’s standards. Provides mentorship and technical guidance to transition work to other development teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate integration components
• Performs system integration and performance monitoring
• Continuously automates processes during development and operations
• Develops prototypes to prove out designs and delivery patterns
• Fosters collaboration with cross-functional teams including Development, Operations, Compliance, Security, etc.
• Understands and applies principles, theories and concepts related to the profession and culture.
• Provides mentoring and guidance to other team members

Additional Duties

• Conveys team goals effectively through strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to execute end-to-end testing for various non-functional requirements
• Has the ability to resolve design and development issues in creative and effective ways
• Researches, evaluates, and incorporates new technology and tools to enhance the product development and platform operations
• Gives advice and recommendations to management based on experience
• Expands technical proficiency in key technical areas

Experience

• Requires minimum 8 years related work experience in excess of degree requirements

Qualifications

• Only USC and GC Accepted

Desired Skills

• Required experience developing production-ready applications and services in Java 21 using Spring Framework and Spring Boot
• Required experience delivering Software Integration solutions.
• Required experience collaborating and coordinating with multiple departments, developers, stakeholders, partners, and external vendors.
• Required proficiency with Oracle and PostgreSQL RDBMS
• Requires strong communication skills and experience mentoring other developers.
• Required experience with traditional JMS/AMPQ messaging as well as Kafka message streaming
• Preferred experience with a variety of protocols like SOAP, REST/JSON, OpenAPI, and GraphQL.
• Preferred experience working with Azure messaging solutions like API Management, Service Bus and Event Hub

Education

• Bachelor's Degree: Computer Science or related field (Required)
• or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge to a major in such fields is required

Work Location

• This position can be performed remotely from anywhere in the US.
• May be required to be on-site at the Taylor facilities occasionally based on the business needs and as determined by the Manager
