Senior Application DeveloperTygart is currently seeking a Senior Application Developer to support the design and development of an automated workflow system to manage multi-source, image-based intelligence for a Department of Justice (DoJ) organization. The candidate will be part of a team, collaborating closely with the government staff, to create an efficient process capable of integrating applications on a common platform and enhancing collaboration with external partners.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Translate business and technical requirements into extensible, scalable, and maintainable services Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing softwareAssists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing toolsFunctions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments related to software analysis Researches, tests, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirementsTroubleshoots production problems related to software applicationsConsults with project teams and end users to identify application requirementsParticipates in development of software user manualsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fieldEight (8) years of system development experience preferredDemonstrated knowledge and experience providing solutions with Red Hat Linux utilizing Red Hat Server/Workstation virtualization technology and Microsoft Windows environmentsDemonstrated knowledge and experience supporting Java and Oracle-based implementationsDemonstrated skill in performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, and automationAbility to interface with different databases including Oracle and MS SQLKnowledge designing, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, and software reliability analysisExperience using agile or agile-like development methodologies is highly desiredExperience leading development teamsFull lifecycle application development including managing, authorizing and editing of front end graphical user interfaces uses web based techniques and standardsAbility to work effectively under pressure and possess strong oral and written communication skills, along with excellent organizational capabilitiesWhy Join Tygart Technology?
