Senior Application Architect - Agentic AI, Enterprise Integration & Cloud

We’re looking for a Senior Application Architect with expertise in agentic AI, enterprise integration, cloud architecture, and architecture standards to design AI-enabled solutions and establish scalable, secure enterprise architecture practices.

Location: New York, NY

Work Arrangement: Hybrid, 3 days onsite and 2 days remote

Key Responsibilities

• Design enterprise agentic AI architectures, including multi-agent orchestration, tool calling, RAG, and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Define secure integration patterns for AI agents connecting to enterprise systems and APIs, including MCP.
• Design and govern API-led, event-driven, and messaging integration architectures.
• Develop and maintain application, integration, API, and AI architecture standards.
• Help establish and operate an Architecture Center of Excellence (COE), including governance, design reviews, and technical playbooks.
• Guide application modernization and cloud architecture across Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments.
• Establish security guardrails for agent identity, access control, auditability, observability, and cost management.
• Align architecture decisions with NIST AI Risk Management Framework, CIS, ISO 27001, and applicable security requirements.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, DevOps, and cybersecurity teams.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of application or enterprise architecture experience , including cloud-native design on Azure and/or AWS.
• Demonstrated experience delivering AI/LLM or agentic solutions in an enterprise environment .
• Experience authoring architecture standards and operating an Architecture COE or architecture review board.
• Strong expertise in enterprise integration, APIs, and integration patterns .
• Experience designing secure, scalable, and maintainable application architectures.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native and hybrid-cloud environments.
• Experience defining architecture governance, reference architectures, and technical standards.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain architectural decisions to technical and executive stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cloud certification and additional relevant certifications.
• Experience with multi-agent orchestration, RAG, MCP, and AI security guardrails.
• Familiarity with Azure API Management, AWS API Gateway, Apigee, MuleSoft, or similar integration platforms.
• Experience with event-driven architecture, messaging, and legacy-to-cloud integration. xhqgsiq

• Experience modernizing legacy applications and implementing enterprise-wide architecture governance.
