Position Overview
Fractal is seeking an experienced and highly influential Senior Analytics Consultant to drive high-impact operational strategy for a premier leader in the autonomous mobility and robotics space . This high visibility role owns end-to-end analytical scoping, complex data discovery, pipeline engineering, and solution design for large-scale product and physical infrastructure datasets.
You will partner directly with our client's infrastructure and operations teams to analyze complex risk factors, optimize asset uptime, and maximize the utilization of cutting-edge power systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Problem Scoping & Scoping: Partner with product and operations leaders to translate ambiguous business questions into technical specifications, analytical user stories, and data schemas.
- Data Discovery & Pipeline Engineering: Locate, extract, and unify disparate internal data assets (e.g., system logs, event tracking) and external vendor metrics. Build and modify robust ETL/ELT pipelines to clean and transform raw data.
- Solution Architecture: Design intuitive dashboards, diagnostic suites, and data models tailored to executive and operational decision-making workflows.
- Technical Leadership: Serve as the onshore technical anchor - defining QA standards, ensuring data lineage, and guiding offshore data science execution.
- Strong Product Sense & Business Acumen: A deep curiosity and ability to understand the "why" behind user behavior and connect data insights to business goals and product strategy.
- Exceptional Communication & Storytelling: The ability to distill complex analytical concepts into clear, concise, and compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Leadership & Influence: Proven ability to influence and lead without direct authority, driving consensus and action from cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Strategic & Critical Thinking: The ability to think strategically, solve ambiguous problems, and move from data to insights to actionable recommendations.
- Autonomy & Proactiveness: A self-starter who can manage complex projects from inception to completion with minimal oversight.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in Analytics Consulting, Data Engineering, or Product Analytics supporting enterprise products.
- Advanced Pipeline & SQL Skills: Expert SQL proficiency with hands-on experience building/editing production pipelines (dbt, Airflow, SQL transformations, GCP/cloud environments).
- Complex Data Scoping: Proven track record of working with messy, non-standard, and decentralized datasets (event telemetry, ticketing logs, geospatial/vendor data).
- Consultative Expertise: Exceptional problem-framing, stakeholder management, and technical communication skills.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
Pay
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $120,000 - $160,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus for the current performance period.
As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company. In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms. The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave. We also follow a "free time" PTO policy, allowing you the flexibility to take the time needed for either sick time or vacation.
