Our diversity is key to our continued success and forges a path where our culture supports greater equity and inclusion for our employees, customers and beyond. POSITION OVERVIEWThe Senior Analyst, Tax, reporting to the Manager, Tax, plays a critical role in the Company’s income tax function with a primary focus on the quarterly global income tax provision preparation, taxable income modelling, and calculation of book-tax differences. The ideal candidate is naturally curious, thinks critically, and can independently work through unfamiliar issues. The Senior Analyst, Tax will regularly collaborate and communicate across key corporate functions, including Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Strategic Finance, and Treasury. KNOWLEDGESkills:Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to solve complex problems independentlyDemonstrated ability to identify root causes, investigate issues, and develop well-reasoned solutions without requiring step by step directionStrong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbalAble to quickly adapt to and understand new ideas, concepts, and processesAble to manage multiple tasks and demands with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environmentEmphasis on attention to detail and effective organization skillsKnowledge:Working knowledge of ASC 740 and other US GAAP financial accounting conceptsWorking knowledge of federal tax law and principlesRESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIESPrepares the Company’s global income tax provision and financial statement disclosures for quarterly and annual financial statements under both US GAAP and IFRSPrepares internal taxable income forecast model for monthly forecasting and ad hoc modeling requestsPrepares quarterly executive-level slide decks highlighting key tax metrics and taxable income modeling Prepares certain federal tax calculations which may include: 162(m) executive compensation, corporate alternative minimum tax (CAMT), foreign derived deduction eligible income (FDDEI), transfer pricing, foreign tax credit, revenue recognition, and share-based compensationPrepares income tax journal entries and corresponding monthly account reconciliationsPrepares and facilitates quarterly estimated tax paymentsPrepares quarterly tax provision memorandums documenting the tax impact of significant transactionsLiaises with local country big four accounting firms to manage and oversee the preparation of international income tax returnsManages and maintains income tax provision in Corptax provision tax softwareSupports timely delivery of workpapers and documentation required for external auditsSupports process improvement initiatives to streamline and increase efficiencyThe duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list and additional tasks may be assigned to the employee from time to time; or the scope of the job may change as necessitated by business demandsQUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS)Education and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
